ADB D225: Modular Installation dimmer cabinets [Discontinued]

With 2.5kW or 5kW circuits, to a total of 180 kW, the D225 dimmer rack is a modular dimmer cabinet designed for installation purposes.
Consisting of a rack closed with side panels, a grid panel on top, and a lift-truck tranposrtable base, two types of cabinet are available according to the power network connection.
The upper portion of the dimmer cabinet contains from 1 to 6 dimmer drawers. Each drawer is a standard 3U 19" size and contains power output terminals, suppresor chokes BF (according to TDF and BBC standards), and either 6 2x 2.5kW power cards with two control cards, or 6 1x 5kW power cards and a single control card.
Control and power cards are pluggable, and can be easily swapped in case of changes in configuration or repair.

Control cards
Every card contains 6 circuits to govern the power cards. Six 2x 2.5kW (12 circuits) require two control cards. Six 1x 5kW (6 circuits) require one control card.
As an option, the cards can be fitted for each circuit with a two-position switch, enabling either normal dimming by an external control desk, or 100% output if the control signal exceeds 10%.
Power cards
The power cards are individual modules for dimming lighting circuits, designed as a unit to be plugged directly into the D225 pre-wired dimmer drawers.
The standard AD0255 module comes in two versions for either 220/240V AC incandescent lamps, or low-voltage lamps.
Optionally, a three-position switch enables 100% ouput (direct switched circuit), normal dimming by an external control desk, or 0% output.

- Control range: 1.5% to 100% of the nominal power of the dimmer
- Response time: switching-on 50 ms / switching-off 140 ms
- Dynamic operation: no exceeding or oscillating of any output voltage
- Cold lamps may be switched on without damage to thyristors
- Overload and short-circuit protection by fuses integrated into the D225 cabinet
- Output voltage variation: approximately 6V for a feeding of about 25V (at 50% control and nominal voltage)
- Dimmers comply with French (TDF) and British (BBC) standards
