Z00005 Freedom Dimming Module 60W - 2300W |
The Freedom dimmer range covers ratings from 60W to 2300W and can be mounted directly under Freedom profile luminaires, Freble spotlight, and on most other luminaries with the yoke mounting plate.
Two dimming modules are available, together with a switching unit. Both Freedom dimmers feature a 'Local Proportional Control' which can be used to top-set the maximum light output from each luminaire, or control the dimmer directly if there is no DMX signal available. In addition, the Freedom dimmers offer a 'soft-start' facility, which reduces power surge on start-up, and an inbuilt 'preheat' function (not optically visible), which helps extend lamp life.
The flexibility of your control board can be extended by giving a group of luminaires the same DMX address and then balancing the individual luminaire output, using the 'Local Proportional Control' switch to top set the maximum light output.
Freedom 4A dimmer
This dimmer is designed for the Freedom range and any other luminaire up to 4 amps. Each dimmer has LED indicators to show that power and DMX signal are present. The dimmer is practically silent in use and produces no interference with sound equipment. The dimmer output is a form of direct current - this eliminates 'Lamp Sing' and extends lamp life.
Freedom 4A local dimmer
This module is designed to be used as a followspot control. The dimmer is designed for the Freedom range and any other luminaire up to 4 amps. Each dimmer has a built-in slide fader, allowing local intensity control over the range 0% to 100%.
Freedom 10A dimmer
This unit has the same features as the Freedom 4A dimmer above, but is designed for single, high-power luminaires, or a combination of low-wattage luminaires up to a total load of 10 amps and has two outlets on the back.
Freedom 10A switching pack
This unit is the same size as the 10amp dimmer unit and allows remote switching of power supplies by DMX address. This can also be used for special effects such as UV strips, motorised effects discs or devices that can be damaged by dimmed supplies.
The dimmers are provided with CEE22 power input and output plugs and a 5 pin XLR plug and socket for DMX 512 control. These units can therefore be used anywhere there is a power supply - even a domestic circuit.
The Freedom dimmers are fuseless units, and are protected against overload and short circuits by a fast acting sensor which automatically shuts down the unit to protect the Mosfet device. When the condition is removed operation is returned. The dimmers meet all EMC and EN directives.
