ADB FAL 62: Portable analogue dimmer pack [Discontinued]
ADB FAL 62 6x 2kW |
The ADB FAL 62 dimmer is a transportable pack featuring six dimmer channels, ideal for small fixed installations or for touring use.
Each triac dimmer channel is protected by a 10A fuse and features two output sockets. Power can be provided by either a single phase or three phase supply. The electronics are protected via separate 1A fuses.
Control is analogue, compatible with ADB control deks, connected via a DSub25 on the rear panel. Adapters are available to split a 12 channel control cable into two 6 channel connectors. The control socket outputs the necessary power to the ADB PFAL control desk.
Installation
If required, the FAL 62 can be used as a fixed dimmer pack, and is ideal for small installations. The pack can be mounted onto a wall with optional brackets. Two FAL62 dimmers can be mounted vertically, but adjacent dimmer packs must be separated by a minimum 10 cm ventilation space. Supply terminals are located on the rear of the dimmer pack, behind a removeable cover.
Power Connection
The FAL62 is supplied without power cable. The required cable is selected according to the supply type and voltage. To connect the cable, the back panel is removed by four screws. Jumpers are put in place according to the network voltage. The supply cable is then connected to the terminals and the rear cover replaced.
Control Cable
For the PFAL, SM22, or SM26 control desk, the control cable C/PIL12 is used for 12 circuits (10 m length). An adapter cable AD12/FAL62 can be used to convert these channels in to 2x 6 circuits, for two dimmer packs.
Protection
Fuses must be replaced with the same type: 1 AT on the rear panel for the electronics; 10 AF on the front panel for each dimmer output.
