8-16 colours with variable speed
Designed for Warp/M spotlights

The CC/Warp, a DMX-controlled colour scroller, is designed for use with the 800 W ADB WARP and WARP/M fixtures featuring a 185 x 185 mm colour frame, and has a 185 mm diameter opening.

CC/Warp is delivered with a 16-colour filter gel string, a special rear mounting plate (APL-CC/Warp), a supply control cable and steel safety bond.

The special APL-CC/Warp adaptor plate is also available as a separate option. It is specially constructed to avoid spill light originating from the front of the Warp/M spotlight.

CC/Warp is constructed from sturdy aluminium to reduce weight but offer a robust unit, finished in black epoxy powder paint. The front door is latched to the body of the scroller for easy opening.

Each CC/Warp scroller has a capacity of upto 16 colour frames and gel string movement can be set to continuous, step, or autotrace modes. The unit features two DC servo motors connected directly to the colour rollers, meaning that there is no gearbox (and hence less noise and higher reliability).

Scroll speed is variable (via a DMX control channel) from 1.5 to 20 seconds, for a full 16 frame scroll. The scroll is cooled by a single fan, which can be set to one of four preset speeds, or controlled via an additional DMX control channel.

Status LEDs indicate when the unit has power and data, and if there is a data problem.

Colour Changer scrolling modes

The CC/Warp offers three modes of operation:

Continuous mode

The position of the gel string is proportional to the intensity level of the DMX signal.

Step mode

The position of the gel string is divided into steps, one step per colour.

Dark colour mode

The position of a dark colour gel frame is permanently moved in slow motion. The advantage is a better heat distribution on the foil, so that the gel has a longer lifetime.

Use with ADB Warp/M spotlights

The scroller needs no power supply in normal operation: each Warp/M spotlight distributes both DC power and DMX512 control signal to an attached CC/Warp scroller. The Warp/M will also automatically remap the DMX values from the lighting control system to DMX address 1 on its colour scroller output connector. This has the advantage that all CC/Warp scrollers can be set to DMX address 1.

Each CC/Warp scroller is supplied with a short connection cable to enable power and data to be tranferred from the Warp/M spotlight yoke.

Supplied with

The ADB CC/Warp colour scroller can be simply controlled by any DMX512 control system, requiring a maximum of three channels.
