The Europe 1.2kW family comprises Fresnel, Prism-Convex, Plano-Convex and Zoom-Profile luminaires, designed with professional users in mind. Each luminaire in the range benefits from the following areas.
Ease of Use
The strong steel trunion arm and effective clamping mechanism provide considerable resistance to unwanted movement and vibration. The yoke can traverse the length of the unit, allowing the unit to be perfectly balanced in any position. In addition, the yoke has two mounting options; this being especially useful where space is limited.
An insulated rear handle is fitted to provide ease of use and allow easy transport. All adjustment controls and handgrips are heat resistant and ergonomically designed.
The housing is manufactured from matt black painted, corrosion-proof, lightweight aluminium providing excellent mechanical strength. The lamp housing and lens tube (on profiles) are fitted with sliding lids for easy access to both the lamp and lenses.
Quality of Light
The Europe series utilises a professional optical design based on high-quality lenses coupled with a spherical reflector of pure, polished, anodised aluminium. The recently re-designed optics have provided an increase in efficiency of 40%, putting the 1.2kW Europe range on a par with most manufacturer's 2kW units.
The profile luminaires in the Europe range use a double reflector system in combination with an aspherical condenser lens. Additionally, all lenses are coated with an anti-reflection coating. Fine adjustment of the optical field is provided via a rear knob, giving the user total control over the peak adjustment of the beam.
The lamp housing has been designed to rotate 360° in relation to the lens tube and vice versa. A click indent assists finding the normal position. The shutter gate contains four removable, stainless steel shutter blades with anti-reflection coating, working in two planes.
The lamp house and front cassette are designed to prevent light spill.
Total Safety
As with all ADB luminaires, the Europe is built in accordance with all applicable European directives and carries a CE mark. An anchorage ring is provided on the unit for attachment of safety bonds.
A safety mechanism prevents access to the lamp without first disconnecting the power cable.
