Warp spotlight range
Warp is an innovative cool-beam zoom profile spotlight, with revolutionary finger-tip control of all shutters, gobos, zoom & focus settings and iris - from any position around the spotlight. Warp is a compact and streamlined luminaire available in 12-30 degree and 22-50 degree models. The standard Warp spotlights utilise an 800W halogen axial lamp (although 600W or 300W lamps can also be fitted) and a dichroic glass reflector for low gate and beam temperature. Despite this, the light output from Warp is higher than a conventional 1200W profile spotlight. Patented ring controlHowever, the real innovation of the Warp spotlight is the revolutionary patented control of the luminaire shutters, focus & zoom settings. These functions are connected to ring controls around the lumainire's exterior, which are accessible no matter what angle the luminaire is rigged. The ring controls adjust the focus and zoom settings; each lens is connected to the system by substantial toothed drive belts and a ratchet mechanism. Adjustment is smooth and easy, but secure enough to prevent the lenses from slipping, even when the luminaire is rigged vertically. Each of the four shutters is adjusted by a pair of ring controls - the front ring control inserts the shutter into the light beam, and the rear ring control rotates the shutter through 360 degrees. There are no mechanical stops to inhibit the movement of any shutter blade, allowing virtually any shape to be created. Shutters are designed so that they operate without collision, and allow beam shaping cominations impossible with a traditional spotlight. Shutters and gobos can be continuously rotated, offering a wide range of potential effects to the operator. Simple operationThe ring controls leave the exterior of the Warp spotlight with no protruding handles or levers, meaning that there are no controls to inhibit the movement of the luminaire relative to the trunion arm. The trunion can also be positioned at any point along the spotlight body, allowing each Warp to be perfectly balanced for any front-end accessory. No more cumbersome shutter controls also means that Warp does not suffer from buckled or lost shutters, and provides easier handling and storage. The compact body design allows more spotlights to be rigged per bar, and enables Warp to be used in very confined spaces. Warp's unique ring controls are toothed, which allows them to be accurately controlled. Scale markings on the rings allow for precise presetting of parameters prior to rigging, perfect for matching spotlights and for touring shows. AccessoriesThere is a choice of accessory for Warp: either a double gobo holder (B size) or a single gobo holder complete with iris. The gobos can be rotated continuously through 360 degrees and, because of the indpendent ring controls, the gobo and shutters can be rotated in opposite directions. A scroller accessory can easily be inserted into the front colour runners. Easy re-positioning of the trunion arm anywhere along the spotlight allows each Warp to remain perfectly balanced.
