Artistic Licence LED LuminairesArtistic Licence have incorporated many new and unique features in their range of LED lighting products. In addition to the enormously extended life compared to filament fixtures, true, additive colour mixing is now available at extremely low running costs. By varying the output of Red, Green and Blue LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) over 16 million colour variations are possible. The colour mixing is controlled by a microprocessor, which is built into the intelligent power supply (Power-Pipe or LVD series). The microprocessor is controlled by either remotely by a DMX512 signal, or locally by the rotary selectors fitted to the PSU. Artistic Licence use Frequency Modulation (FM) techniques rather then Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the LEDs, which is a new development to solve several problems inherent with PWM control.
