Down-Lynx
Down-Lynx is a key product in the growing range of ArtNet compliant Ethernet products. Down-Lynx converts Ethernet data into two universes of DMX512. Down-Lynx is housed in a standard 'two-gang' panel that is compatible with all standard UK conduit and surface mount boxes. (35mm plaster box and 40mm surface box). The Ethernet connection is made to the rear of the panel via either screw terminals or an RJ45 connector. Power can be distributed by separate cable, or via the Ethernet cable using the IEEE 802.3 standard. The front panel provides two DMX512-A outlets. Each outlet is designed to support the planned Remote Device Management Protocol (RDM). Configuration is simplicity itself. The three rotary dials are used to select the required DMX512 universe. Down-Lynx can be software upgraded via the network connection. The ArtNet Ethernet Protocol used by Down-Lynx has been released to the public domain.
