The DMX-Relay is a 1U rackmount solution for low voltage control. In both the theatre and touring environment there is a large array of products which do not support DMX512 automation.
DMX-Relay solves this problem by providing 24 change-over relay contacts with DMX512 control.
Input
- The DMX512 input accepts both flavours of DMX on a 5pin XLR
- A receive data indicator is provided for this input
- The DMX input is optically isolated: a particular benefit in removing earth loop problems in large installations and outdoor events
Output
Each relay output provides contact closures rated at:
- Max voltage 30 VAC or 30 VDC
- Max switch current 500 mA
- Contact resistance 100 mΩ
- Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) relay outputs are available
- Outputs are made via three 25pin DB connectors
Applications include animatronics, smoke machine trigger, breaker remote control. DMX-Relay can also be used for theatre practicals such as doorbells, emergency lights and ringing phones. Alternatively, as a show control component it can be used to synchronise video and audio playback, or provide cue lights.
