This product is the lowest cost DMX interface for the PC. This is the fully assembled unit and includes case and USB cable. The Open DMX USB interface is based on the FTDI 232BM chip, which is a USB to serial converter. Using an application on a PC you can send and receive DMX512. The Open DMX USB hardware is ideal for use with the Capture CAD & visualisation software. The Open DMX USB interface accepts a single universe of DMX data input. It contains no on-board microprocessor and has no isolation from incoming surges. However, it is an extremely cost-effective solution for interfacing with Capture.
