Windows automatic restart
If Windows XP detects a critical error, it will send information to a log file and automatically attempt a reboot.
In certain circumstances, it may be preferred that the diagnostics information displayed be retained on-screen, rather than this reboot behaviour. This can assist in identifying the problem. Note that only users logged in as an administrator can performing this procedure. Also, think twice before performing this tweak on server machines, as in many cases these should automatically restart.
