Digital dimmer cabinet

Eurodim 2 is a 180kW or 225kW cabinet for fully digital plug-in dimmer modules for professional theatre and television installations. Modules are available in 3kW, 5kW and 10kW formats.

Eurodim 2 can be supplied complete with on-line diagnostics, which constantly monitors the key components of the installation. [Since 2006, this software is included at no extra charge.]

4000-step fade resolution, for noticeably smoother fades
Local test of a dimmer
Up to 200 indicators show at a glance the status of DMX data, microprocessors, temperature warning, and individual dimmers
Dimmer "fuse ok" indicator, actual output voltage and load current indicators for instantaneous performance check
Automatic self-test of the control electronics
Galvanic isolation on all control inputs
Three-phase supply for the control electronics ensures continuity of control in the event of a missing supply phase
Three large, high-quality, low noise tangential fans for effective cooling, with continuous fan speed control and automatic fan stop
TV broadcast quality filtering (450uS - 10% to 90%) by large toroidal iron powder filter chokes, for optimum attenuation of lamp filament noise; meets BBC and TDF standards
Professional quality 200uS filtering also available as an alternative
Hard-fired thyristors for control of tungsten halogen lamps, resistive and inductive loads, transformer-fed low voltage lamps, and fluorescent lighting with suitable ballasts
Automatic compensation of mains voltage fluctuations (option)
Fluo modules provide a direct output to supply electronic ballasts
Relay and feed-through modules are available or non-dimmable and special loads, such as HMI

Residual current monitoring and Alarm system

Each dimmer crate can be equipped with an adjustable residual current supply protection (RCD + MCB)
Each cabinet can be equipped with a residual current (earth leakage) monitoring system, and central digital read-out and alarms
The monitoring does not switch any dimmer off

Specification

Suitable for continuous duty (3kW, 5kW or 10kW per dimmer) with 45kW maximum load per crate at 35°C
Each dimmer is protected by an HRC fuse, with "fuse ok" indicator
Each dimmer crate is protected by HRC supply fuses, located on the front panel for direct access
Dimmer fusing is available in three versions: 1P, 1P+N (N disconnect), true 2P (2 fuses per dimmer) Supply fusing per crate is available in various versions: 3P, 3P+N, HRC fuses, MCB, RCD + MCB
Complies with all applicable European directives and carries a CE mark
