Ether-Lynx

Artistic Licence Ether-Lynx
Ether-Lynx
Rackmount Ethernet-DMX Gateway

Ether-Lynx is the latest addition to the ArtNet Ethernet Range. Ether-Lynx provides the gateway to transfer DMX512 data to and from a 10BaseT Ethernet link.

Ether-Lynx provides a true Plug and Play solution for DMX512 cabling and distribution in all applications needing fast and robust transmission of lighting control data. Standard Ethernet cabling and tranceivers can then be used for the data distribution infrastructure.

The ArtNet Ethernet protocol is designed to allow distribution of up to 256 DMX512 Universes (a total of over 32,000 channels). The DMX Universes are organised as 16 sub-nets each containing 16 Universes. Front panel controls allow the user to easily select the sub-net for each Ether-Lynx and Universe for each of the DMX512 inputs and outputs.

Two of the four DMX512 outputs are fully bi-directional allowing DMX512 data to be returned to the lighting console. The product has been designed to operate with the ESTA RDM (Remote Device Management) standard. Ether-Lynx is fully DMX512A compliant. All DMX512 ports use NeutriK 5 pin XLR connectors. The Ethernet port is a Neutric latching Ethercon.
