Conversion Data - Temperature & Pressure

The following data is often required to convert information into a recognisable format.

Temperature (I)

To convert Farenheight to Celsius, use °C = 5/9 x {°F - 32}
To convert Celsius to Farenheight, use °F = {9/5 x °C} + 32

An approximate cross reference is given below.
  Celsius 0 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 60 80 100
Farenheight 32 40 50 60 70 75 85 95 105 140 175 212

Temperature (II)

An approximate (but useful) cross reference for oven temperatures - between Farenheight, Celsius or Centigrade, Gas Mark temperatures and cooking terms - is given below.

  Gas Mark Centigrade Farenheight Description AGA¹ Settings
¼ 110 225 Very Slow Very Cool
½ 120/130 250 Very Slow Very Cool
