Smaller, lighter, smarter and sleeker - that's the Freedom 2000 range from CCT Lighting. These state-of-the-art international luminaires give you flexibility and choice to creating outstanding lighting results. Better light output efficiency, a remarkedly even beam, perfect hard edge and outstandingly defined soft focus - Freedom 2000 is leading the way.

Lamphouses

Two versions of lamphouse are offered, both of which accept all available lenstubes. The 600/800W axial lamphouse ('M' version), utilising the latest axial lamp technology, features a large locking knob and plate to allow centre positioning of the lamp filament after replacement. The peak-flat cosine adjustment of the field is made via a small rear knob. In addition, a heavy-duty lampholder with integral and external heatsink keeps the lampseal within the recommended temperature levels. A high efficiency faceted reflector gives a flat field and remarkably even beam quality.

'Short' Condenser lamphouseAlternatively, a traditional condenser lamphouse ('L' version) rated at 650W is available. This has all the benefits of the 600/800W axial version, but uses the proven base down 650W T27 lamp with a 750 hour lamplife. The double lens condenser system gives crisp projection of gobos, both glass and metal. Two special variable-beam lenstubes with coated lenses give unsurpassed beam quality with this lamphouse.
This condenser lamphouse is also available in a 'short' version ('L/S') - ideal for tight spaces.

150W HSD discharge source

The new Freedom Electronic Ballast will fit on existing Freedom lanterns and requires only a change of lamp holder in order to change the spotlight from the GKV 600W lamp to an HSD150 discharge lamp.
This gives the unit a high colour temperature with exceptional brightness and long life, ideal for exhibition, display and architectural work.

Lenstubes

A range of lenstubes are also available, any of which can be fitted to each type of lamphouse. As well as fixed-beam lenstubes (20°, 30°, 40° and 50°), a number of zoom lenstubes are offered - between them covering the range 7° to 58°. Two zoom lenstubes have been specifically optimised for the 650W condenser lamphouse but the user is not limited to these choices as the table below illustrates.

Freedom condenser profile

All lenstubes are rotatable through 360° - allowing gobo and shutter alignment with total freedom - and can be locked into position using a side thumb screw. Focus on the zoom lenstubes is made via large positive-locking knobs which operate the lenses, these are supported on three side points for smoother operation. Easy access for lens cleaning is provided through a large lenstube door.

The lenstube features a DIN standard colour frame cassette, which can be easily positioned to allow the gate or focus knobs to be either top, side or bottom operated. The cassette takes standard Silhouette 30 colour frame and all accessories of that size. They are retained by a hinged lid, which cuts out any possibilityof light spill or accidents from rotation of the lenstube.

Operation

The Freedom 2000 range of profile spotlights is a unique integrated system combining the lamphouse and lenstubes with an optional on-board dimmer unit. The axial type reflector lamphouse with an 800W lamp provides an equivalent output to many 1kW and 2kW units. This power saving means that up to 6 Freedom 600W luminaires may be connected on a single 16A supply, which is ideal when using the local dimmer option.

Freedom optical trainThe changeable lenstubes provide variable beam angles across the range of 7° to 58°. Individual lens adjustment gives greater flexibility of the beam angle and the hard & soft focus achieved. The optical system provides an even beam, great depth of field and image clarity - ensuring gobos stay in focus regardless of projection angle.

The shutter set has removable, reversible, black shutter blades, held in position by springs which also keep the shutters within 1mm of the centre plate, allowing all the blades to be in focus at the same time. Other gate accessories are retained by a mating button and hole for lightweight items, or by a safety bond and clip.

Relamping is a simple operation through the rear of the spotlight, and removing the lamp tray automatically disconnects from the supply or dimmer. The dual position trunion arm is useful where the overall height needs to be reduced, and is also reversible - aiding balance and allowing an easy change from hanging position to stand use.

The optional Freedom Dimmer attaches underneath the spotlight, sliding on underneath the lamphouse on two keyways. Use of the dimmer means that no dimmer room or radial wiring is required - just ring mains or spurs and DMX wiring to each luminaire. Alternatively, the Freeway radio DMX dimmer can be used in the same way, but does not require DMX cabling.

All operating knobs and handles remain cool during extended use. Freedom luminaires are marked and tested to EN standards.
